As a leading partner in the Government’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, Apollo Education was appointed by the London Borough of Haringey as main contractor for the £23m refurbishment and new-build project at Woodside High School. The project includes the construction of the new Woodside Learning Campus. The contractor needed to provide extensive on-site office and welfare accommodation for up to 80 people who would be working on site for the 120-week project.

Apollo turned to site accommodation specialists, Konstructa, to provide the robust, high-quality buildings it needed for this lengthy project. Konstructa buildings are specially designed to withstand the rigours of a building-site environment. Constructed entirely from steel, the anti-vandal units offer excellent levels of security, as well as comfortable, welcoming workplaces.

Konstructa listened to Apollo’s requirements and supplied a range of buildings to meet the needs of the project. Eight 32-ft units were supplied, double-stacked to create four two-storey buildings, all interlinked and fitted with access steps.
The upper four units provide spacious, open-plan offices, meeting rooms and a reception area. On the ground floor there is a large canteen, kitchen area, changing and drying room and a toilet and shower block, catering for the office-based staff and tradespeople working on site. In addition, Konstructa supplied a separate security cabin for the on-site security personnel.
The buildings were needed on site just two weeks after the order was placed, and Konstructa pulled out all the stops to get the units delivered on time. The buildings were adapted to meet Apollo’s specific requirements with extra partitions, a fitted kitchen and additional tea points. What’s more, to meet the company’s branding requirements, Konstructa supplied the buildings in Apollo’s dark green corporate colours.

The buildings were clean and tidy on arrival and we were happy with the work of the Konstructa installation team who delivered and sited the units. The service provided by Konstructa was very good.
